Beginning January 2026, all newly built Wi-Fi hidden cameras with audio will be using the Tuya app instead of the MiniGadgets app. This change is part of our ongoing effort to improve security, usability, and long-term support.

This transition does not mean that cameras using the MiniGadgets app will stop working.

• Existing MiniGadgets-based cameras will continue to function normally, including live streaming.

• These cameras will remain supported and under warranty.

However, moving forward, all cameras we build will use the Tuya app, and we will no longer carry the camera board that operates on the MiniGadgets app.

The Tuya app offers several key improvements over the MiniGadgets app, including:

• App-Based Cloud Storage
  Customers may subscribe to cloud storage directly through the Tuya app. Please note that cloud storage fees are handled by Tuya and do not go through Liberty Monitors.

• Enhanced Camera Security
  Customers are required to create a Tuya account, and each camera is securely tied to that account, providing improved protection against unauthorized access.

• Easier Setup & Pairing
  Camera setup and pairing is more streamlined and user-friendly compared to the MiniGadgets app, reducing setup time and troubleshooting.

• Unified Smart Device Management
  The Tuya app serves as a unified IoT platform, allowing users to manage cameras alongside smart lighting, plugs, locks, and other compatible devices all within one app.
